Statutory meetings of the GPA are held on the third Wednesday of every month (unless otherwise informed). The venue is usually the Guyana Red Cross Headquarters in Barrack Street, Kingston, Georgetown. During the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, all meetings are held virtually.
Executive Committee meetings of the GPA are held on the second Thursday of every month (unless otherwise informed). The venue is usually Pharmagen Enterprises, Lot 1 F Area L Bel Air, Georgetown.
An Extraordinary Meeting may be held by the Executive Committee to deal with any urgent matter which may arise from time to time.
The Annual General Meeting of the GPA is usually held within the first three months of the calendar year. During this meeting, the new Executive Committee for the calendar year is elected.
The elected officers of the Executive Committee are as follows:
- A President
- A Vice-President
- A Secretary
- A Treasurer
- An Assistant Secretary/Treasurer
- A Public Relations officer
- Two Trustees
- Immediate Past President as ex-officio
- Three Committee Members
- An Internal Auditor
Quorum
Ten full members shall constitute a quorum of any meeting other than a meeting of the Executive Committee, where a quorum would consist of eight full members.
